Logo of the Research Group Sustainability and Climate Policy

The logo of the research group The two hallmarks of the work of Felix Ekardt and his research group are sustainability on one hand and a theory of justice on the other. Both of them are expressed by the logo: Basically, sustainability means (apart from a claim for more global justice) that interests and rights of future generations be considered in today's decisions and that they not be discriminated just because they are future interests. The current of generations is represented by the fading balls. The scale expresses that future rights and today's rights should principally deserve the same weight. Moreover, it symbolises that problems of sustainability are always problems of justice, too.
